Yet another blog, by yet another person.
Random stuff about Python, Java, Scala, and other random stuff.
Douglas Adams' Mostly Harmless, the fifth book in the hitchhiker ‘Trilogy’ is packed with even more humor. When I took the book I had a slight misgiving that it might be just repetitive, but surprisingly, it was packed with even more fun.
Of particular note is chapter 13, in which Douglas Adams describes a primitive planet in which Arthur (one of the principal characters) was shipwrecked. You have to read it to appreciate the humor. This one chapter is packed with so much fun that one would wonder how Douglas Adams does it.
The ‘Old Thrashbarg’, the ‘pikka birds’ and ‘Bob’, ‘The Sandwich Maker’ (the epithet given to Arthur by ‘Old Thrashbarg’ who claimed he had been sent there by ‘Bob’) and ‘Perfectly Normal Beasts’ (you have to read the reason why they are called so). They will all keep you laughing throughout the chapter and beyond.
